Celebrate the 4th of July with these festive and easy-to-make white chocolate dipped strawberries decorated with patriotic red, white, and blue nonpareils. Perfect for a party appetizer or a sweet snack, these strawberries are quick to prepare and visually stunning.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 24 strawberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers (or white candy melts)
  • ½ cup red, white, and blue nonpareils

Instructions

  1. Clean the strawberries: Thoroughly wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry using a paper towel to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the white chocolate melting wafers or candy melts in a small, deep bowl. Microwave them in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip about two-thirds of it into the melted white chocolate. Immediately after, dip the remaining one-third portion into the red, white, and blue nonpareils to decorate.
  4. Set the strawberries: Place the dipped strawberries on a baking tray or countertop lined with wax paper to set. If your environment is hot or humid, refrigerate the strawberries to help the chocolate harden faster and prevent melting.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent the chocolate from seizing.
  • Use a deep bowl for melting chocolate to make dipping easier and less messy.
  • If the chocolate thickens, gently reheat it in short intervals until smooth again.
  • Store finished strawberries in the refrigerator and consume within 1-2 days for maximum freshness.
