Ingredients
Pizza Base
- Premade pizza dough
Vegetables
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach, chopped
- 1 cup artichoke hearts, drained, chopped, and divided
- Parsley for garnish; finely chopped
Cheeses
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese plus more to sprinkle on top of pizza
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
Other Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Dough: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet or pizza stone with parchment paper. On a floured surface, roll, stretch, and shape the pizza dough into a 10-12 inch round, creating a slight edge for the crust.
- Sauté Spinach: Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped spinach and sauté until wilted and cooked through, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, let it cool for a few minutes, then drain any excess moisture.
- Make Artichoke Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed spinach, 3/4 cup chopped artichoke hearts, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Assemble Pizza: Spread the artichoke mixture evenly over the prepared pizza dough, leaving about a 1-inch border for the crust. Then, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, the rest of the artichoke hearts, and 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza on the preheated baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove pizza from the oven and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley. Slice, serve warm, and enjoy your delicious artichoke pizza!
Notes
- Using premade pizza dough saves time but feel free to make your own if preferred.
- Draining the spinach and artichokes well helps prevent a soggy crust.
- You can add red pepper flakes or crushed garlic for extra flavor if desired.
- For a crispier crust, preheat the pizza stone before placing the dough on it.
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
