Ingredients
Seafood
- 14 ounces Lobster Tails (fresh or thawed, about 6-7 ounces each)
Seasoned Butter Mixture
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Parsley
- ½ Teaspoon Granulated Garlic
- ½ Teaspoon Sea Salt
- ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon Paprika
Optional
- 3 Slices Fresh Lemon
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the lobster tails.
- Prepare Lobster Shells: Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the center of the back of each lobster tail shell, stopping before the fin to avoid cutting through it.
- Lift Lobster Meat: Gently pull the lobster meat up through the slit you made, using your fingers, then retuck any hanging pieces back neatly along the sides of the shell so the presentation is tidy.
- Make Seasoned Butter: Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl for about one minute. Once melted, stir in the minced parsley, granulated garlic, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika until well combined.
- Arrange Lobster Tails: Place the prepared lobster tails on a small baking sheet. Add fresh lemon slices on the baking sheet if you choose to use them for added flavor.
- Baste with Butter Mixture: Generously brush or spoon the seasoned butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat to coat thoroughly.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet with lobster tails into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the lobster meat reaches 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the oven, squeeze the baked lemon slices over the lobster if used, and serve immediately for a warm, flavorful dish.
Notes
- Ensure lobster tails are fully thawed if using frozen for even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature for perfect doneness.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control the spice level according to taste preference.
- Serve with additional melted butter or lemon wedges for extra flavor.
- Be cautious when handling kitchen shears and hot lobster shells to avoid injury.
