Perfectly baked and garnished with fresh parsley and lemon slices, this elegant yet easy-to-make recipe will elevate your dinner experience.

  • Total Time: 17 Minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Baked Salmon

  • 4 skinless salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons old style Dijon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional)
  • Lemon slices for serving (optional)

Boursin Cheese Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup chicken stock
  • 1 pack (5 oz) Boursin Garlic & Herbs Cheese, at room temperature
  • 1-2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking dish to prevent the salmon from sticking.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard. Rub this mixture over each salmon fillet evenly. Season generously with salt and ground black pepper.
  3. Bake the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Make the Boursin cheese sauce: While the salmon bakes, melt the unsalted butter in a small pot over medium heat. Pour in the chicken stock and stir to combine. Add the Boursin Garlic & Herbs Cheese and stir continuously until the cheese has completely melted and incorporated into the stock. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Finish the sauce: Remove the pot from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor of the sauce.
  6. Combine and serve: Once the salmon is done baking, drizzle the warm Boursin cheese sauce over the fillets in the baking dish, allowing it to mix with the natural pan juices. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side. Enjoy your creamy, flavorful Boursin Salmon!

Notes

  • Ensure the salmon is fresh and patted dry to get a better sear and texture.
  • You can substitute chicken stock with vegetable stock for a lighter sauce or a pescatarian option.
  • Adjust the lemon juice in the sauce to your preferred level of tanginess.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the Boursin cheese with a vegan herb cheese alternative.
  • Serving suggestion: Serve with steamed vegetables or a light salad for a well-rounded meal.
