Ingredients
Salad Ingredients
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1/2 large green pepper, cored, seeded, and diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1/3 cup diced red onion
- 2 large hard boiled eggs, chopped
Dressing Ingredients
- 1 cup Chick-fil-A® Sauce
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon bottled yellow mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the Macaroni: Prepare the elbow macaroni according to the manufacturer's directions until al dente. Once cooked, drain thoroughly and set aside to cool completely, which prevents the salad from becoming soggy.
- Mix the Salad Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled macaroni, diced green pepper, celery, red onion, chopped hard boiled eggs, and freshly chopped parsley. Add the Chick-fil-A® Sauce, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir everything well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and coated with the dressing.
- Chill the Salad: Cover the bowl tightly with tin foil or plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill thoroughly before serving. This resting time enhances the salad's taste and texture.
Notes
- For best flavor, refrigerate the salad for at least two hours before serving.
- You can substitute regular elbow macaroni with whole wheat or gluten-free pasta if desired.
- Adjust seasoning with extra salt or pepper to taste after chilling.
- Use freshly chopped parsley for a brighter herb flavor.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
