Ingredients
For the Pizza Base and Toppings
- 4 large naan breads
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups chicken tikka masala
- 1/3 cup red onions, sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450ºF (230ºC). Arrange the naan breads on a baking sheet, making sure they are evenly spaced.
- Prepare the Tikka Masala Sauce: If the chicken tikka masala sauce is thick, gently warm it on the stovetop or in the microwave to make it easier to spread.
- Spread the Sauce: Evenly spread about 1/4 cup of the warmed chicken tikka masala sauce over the surface of each naan bread, covering the base thoroughly.
- Add the Chicken: Distribute the pieces of chicken tikka evenly on top of the sauce layer on each naan.
- Top with Onions and Cheese: Sprinkle the sliced red onions over the chicken, then top with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the naan pizzas from the oven and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving while hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a sprinkle of red chili flakes before baking.
- You can substitute mozzarella with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar for extra flavor.
- If naan bread is unavailable, use pita bread as an alternative, though cooking times may vary slightly.
- Leftover chicken tikka masala works great for this recipe, making it a fantastic way to use up dinner leftovers.
