Ingredients
Wrap and Filling
- 4 extra-large or burrito-style flour tortillas
- 1 (9 oz) package sliced turkey
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
Cream Cheese Spread
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetables
- 1 cup fresh lettuce leaves
- 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
Instructions
- Prepare Cream Cheese Spread: In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until smooth and well combined. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to your preference.
- Spread Tortilla: Lay out one tortilla flat on a clean surface and spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire tortilla surface.
- Add Turkey and Cheese: Arrange slices of turkey breast evenly over the cream cheese layer, then place the cheddar cheese slices on top of the turkey, covering the tortilla uniformly.
- Add Vegetables: Layer fresh lettuce leaves followed by thinly sliced cucumber evenly across the cheese and turkey.
- Roll Up Tortilla: Starting from one edge, tightly roll the tortilla into a log shape to form a pinwheel. Repeat the entire process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
- Slice into Pinwheels: Using a sharp knife, slice each rolled tortilla into 1-inch thick pinwheels to create bite-sized portions.
- Serve or Store: Serve the turkey pinwheels immediately for the freshest taste or refrigerate them for later use. They keep well chilled for a few hours before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of paprika or herbs to the cream cheese spread.
- These pinwheels can be made ahead and kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours, making them ideal for parties.
- Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier version.
- Feel free to substitute turkey with other deli meats like ham or chicken.
- Ensure cream cheese is softened to make spreading easier and smoother.
