Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese (block)
- 4 oz Monterrey Jack cheese (block)
- 4 oz white cheddar cheese (block)
- 4 oz Asiago cheese (block)
- 1/4 cup minced fresh chives
- 3 Tbsp fresh minced parsley
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Grate Cheese: Grate the mozzarella, Monterrey Jack, white cheddar, and Asiago cheeses using the large side of a cheese grater. Set aside a portion of the grated cheese for topping the dip later.
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Use a well-seasoned 10-inch cast iron skillet or lightly grease an alternative baking dish such as a 9-inch round, 8x8, or 9x9 ceramic or glass dish.
- Mix Dip Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, grated cheeses (except reserved topping), fresh chives, fresh parsley, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Assemble Dip: Spread the cheese and herb mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the reserved grated cheese on top to create a cheesy crust after baking.
- Bake the Dip: Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 17-20 minutes until hot and bubbly. Optionally, broil for a few seconds at the end to achieve a golden brown top, but watch closely to prevent burning.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor contrast to the rich cheese.
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to help with easier mixing and smoother texture.
- You can substitute the cheeses with similar varieties if needed, but keep the total cheese quantity the same.
- This dip is perfect served warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.
- Watch closely if broiling the top, as cheese can burn quickly.
