Ingredients
Produce
- 1 cup (30 g) spinach, packed
- ½ banana (53 g), cut into 1-inch pieces
Dairy
- ¼ cup (64 g) non-fat plain Greek yogurt, frozen (about 2 frozen cubes)
Frozen Fruits
- 1 cup (246 g) mixed frozen fruit (mangoes, pineapple, strawberries)
Liquids
- 1 to 1 ¼ cups (237-296 g) water OR milk (cow, almond, coconut, or preferred kind)
Instructions
- Assemble Smoothie Packs: In a zip-top sandwich bag, combine the packed spinach, banana pieces, frozen Greek yogurt cubes, and mixed frozen fruit. Remove as much air as possible and seal the bag tightly before placing it in the freezer. Repeat this process for each additional smoothie pack you want to make.
- Blend Smoothie: When ready to prepare, pour 1 to 1 ¼ cups of water or your choice of milk into a blender. Add one frozen smoothie pack and blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Adjust the liquid to your preferred consistency by adding more water or milk as needed.
Notes
- Use any preferred milk like cow, almond, or coconut for different flavor profiles.
- Make several packs at once to save time and have smoothies ready for the week.
- Frozen Greek yogurt adds creaminess and protein; you can substitute with frozen plain yogurt if desired.
- For a vegan option, substitute Greek yogurt with a dairy-free yogurt alternative.
- Adjust sweetness by adding honey or a sweetener if desired during blending.
