Ingredients
Pizza Base & Sauce
- 1 12-inch prebaked pizza crust (such as Boboli brand)
- ¾ cup Alfredo sauce (divided)
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
Vegetables & Seasonings
- 8 to 10 ounces fresh baby spinach
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Protein & Cheese
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breasts
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or shredded pizza blend cheese)
Optional Garnish
- Crushed red pepper flakes (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prep. Preheat your oven to 425˚F. Place the prebaked pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread ½ cup of Alfredo sauce evenly over the crust and set it aside to prepare the toppings.
- Sauté. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fresh baby spinach and sauté for about 2 minutes until wilted. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 15 seconds until fragrant. Season the mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir well and remove the skillet from heat.
- Add the toppings. Evenly distribute the sautéed spinach and garlic mixture over the Alfredo sauce on the pizza crust. Next, spread the shredded cooked chicken breasts across the pizza. Drizzle the remaining Alfredo sauce over the chicken and then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or pizza blend cheese evenly on top.
- Bake. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly and the crust turns lightly golden brown on the edges.
- Finish and serve. Remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with crushed red pepper flakes, if desired, to add a touch of spice. Slice and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone and preheat it in the oven before placing the pizza on it.
- If fresh spinach is not available, frozen spinach (thawed and drained) can be substituted.
- You can add other toppings like mushrooms or onions for extra flavor if desired.
- Use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken breasts for convenience and added flavor.
- Adjust the amount of Alfredo sauce depending on how creamy you like your pizza.
