Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 pound triple cream brie cheese (cold)
Instructions
- Prepare the Brie: Take the brie cheese out of the fridge and using a sharp knife, carefully cut the rind off without removing too much of the cheese underneath to maintain its creamy texture.
- Cut and Soften: Cut the rindless brie into cubes and add them to a food processor. Allow the cheese to come to room temperature for easier blending and a smoother spread.
- Whip the Cheese: Blend the brie cubes on high speed until completely smooth and airy, stopping every minute to scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure even blending. Alternatively, an electric mixer may be used.
- Serve: Scrape the whipped brie into a serving bowl. Optionally, garnish with chopped olives and fresh thyme leaves for a savory twist, or drizzle with honey or your favorite jam for a sweet option. Serve alongside crackers, chips, baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For best results, ensure the brie is cold when you start but allow it to soften slightly to room temperature before blending.
- Removing the rind carefully is important to avoid bitter flavors but some prefer to leave it on for added texture and flavor.
- Use a food processor for the smoothest consistency; an electric mixer works but may require more effort.
- This spread pairs well with a variety of dippers including fresh veggies, baguette slices, crackers, or chips.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days.
