Ingredients
Crust
- 32 Oreo cookies
- 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (from the 8 oz container)
Pudding Layer
- 2 (3 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 10-12 Oreos, crushed into small pieces
Topping
- Remaining 7 oz whipped topping (from the 8 oz container)
- More crushed Oreos, for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Crush 32 Oreo cookies using a meat mallet, large soup can, blender, or food processor until fine crumbs form. In a bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with 6 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter until well mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Place in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the next layer.
- Make the cream cheese layer: In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust.
- Prepare the pudding layer: In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 boxes (3 oz each) of instant chocolate pudding mix with 3 cups of cold milk until thickened. Stir in 10-12 crushed Oreo pieces for added texture. Let the pudding set for 2-3 minutes, then spread it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Add the topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping (about 7 oz) over the pudding layer evenly. Return the assembled dessert to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow all layers to set.
- Garnish and serve: Before serving, sprinkle more crushed Oreos on top for an attractive finishing touch. Slice into 16 servings and enjoy this rich, no-bake chocolate delight!
Notes
- Use a food processor or blender to easily crush Oreos if you don’t have a mallet or can.
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for a smooth, lump-free layer.
- Chilling time helps layers firm up and improves overall texture.
- This dessert can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a lighter option, substitute low-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
