Ingredients
Tea Base
- 8 Earl Grey tea bags (Green, Black, or Herbal tea works as well)
- 4 cups water (for steeping)
Peach Puree
- 3 peaches, sliced and pitted
- 1 cup water (for blending peaches)
Additional
- 3 cups water (to dilute tea and peach mixture)
- Sweetener of choice, optional (honey, sugar, or alternative sweetener)
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- Steep the Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Place the 8 tea bags into a heat-proof pitcher and carefully pour the boiling water over them. Allow to steep for 10 minutes to extract full flavor. After steeping, remove and discard the tea bags.
- Prepare Peach Puree: Add the sliced and pitted peaches to a blender along with 1 cup of water. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and free of chunks.
- Strain Peach Mixture: Pour the blended peach mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or directly into the tea pitcher to remove any pulp or solids, leaving a smooth peach juice.
- Combine and Dilute: Add the strained peach juice to the pitcher containing the steeped tea. Then pour in the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir thoroughly to combine all the flavors evenly.
- Sweeten and Serve: Taste the peach tea and add your preferred sweetener if desired, stirring until fully dissolved. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the peach tea over the ice. Serve chilled for a refreshing beverage.
Notes
- You can experiment with different tea varieties, such as green or black tea, to change the base flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness according to your personal preference or omit it for a naturally fruity taste.
- If peaches are out of season, frozen peaches can be substituted—just thaw before blending.
- To enhance the flavor, a splash of lemon juice or fresh mint leaves can be added when serving.
- Make sure the water used for steeping is boiling to properly extract the tea flavors for a stronger brew.
