Ingredients
Milk Base
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 2 cups whole milk
Main Flavor
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Coloring and Toppings
- 2 drops red food coloring
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the milk. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the evaporated milk and whole milk. Warm the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally and watching carefully to prevent boiling over.
- Add white chocolate. Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the white chocolate chips until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add food coloring. Slowly add red food coloring one drop at a time, stirring continuously until you achieve a soft pink shade to your liking.
- Serve and garnish. Pour the pink hot chocolate into glasses, then optionally top with whipped cream and sprinkles for a festive, indulgent finish.
Notes
- Be careful not to let the milk boil over, as it can scorch and create a mess.
- Use good quality white chocolate for a richer and smoother flavor.
- Adjust red food coloring slowly to avoid an overly bright or unnatural pink.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute with coconut or almond milk and use dairy-free white chocolate chips.
- Sprinkles and whipped cream are optional but add a fun, decorative touch.
