Delicious and easy Sheet Pan Chicken Kebabs made with ground chicken, infused with shawarma seasoning and fresh herbs, baked to perfection on a single sheet pan for a quick and flavorful meal.

  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Chicken Mixture

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1/2 yellow onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced
  • 1 tablespoon shawarma seasoning blend
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 10x15 inch or similarly sized sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced yellow onion, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, minced cilantro, shawarma seasoning blend, and salt. Use clean hands to thoroughly mix all the ingredients until well incorporated.
  3. Shape and Score: Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared sheet pan and press it into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle. Using a knife, score the meat into 8 to 10 horizontal strips and then score once down the middle lengthwise to form kebab shapes for easier serving after baking.
  4. Bake: Bake the sheet pan in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the chicken kebabs are cooked through and browned on top.

Notes

  • Make sure to mince the onion and garlic finely to integrate fully into the meat mixture.
  • Shawarma seasoning blend can be purchased or made at home with a mix of cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, and allspice.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
  • Serve with a side of rice, salad, or pita bread and a yogurt-based sauce for a complete meal.
  • For added flavor, marinate the mixture for 30 minutes before baking if time permits.
