This Tahini Fudge is a creamy, dairy-free, and sugar-free treat that combines the nutty richness of tahini with the smoothness of melted coconut oil and the indulgence of dark chocolate chips. Sweetened naturally with sugar-free maple syrup and enhanced with vanilla and flaky salt, this fudge is an easy-to-make, healthy dessert perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without guilt.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 15 servings

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 1 cup Tahini
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil, melted
  • 2 tbsp Sugar-Free Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Flaky Salt (plus extra for garnish)

Chocolate Chips

  • 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips (sugar-free)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Container: Line an 8x4 inch freezer-proof container with baking paper, ensuring the paper extends up the sides for easy removal of the fudge later.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the tahini, melted coconut oil, sugar-free maple syrup, vanilla extract, and flaky salt. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is creamy and smooth, ensuring all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in most of the dark chocolate chips using a spatula, reserving a few to sprinkle on top as garnish.
  4. Freeze Initial Layer: Scoop the fudge mixture into the prepared container, spreading it evenly. Place it into the freezer for 10 minutes to start setting.
  5. Garnish: Remove the container from the freezer and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips evenly across the surface.
  6. Final Freeze: Return the container to the freezer and chill for an additional 30 minutes, or until the fudge is completely solid and firm.
  7. Serve: Sprinkle the top with extra flaky salt before cutting the fudge into 15 squares. Serve chilled or keep stored in the freezer for later enjoyment.

Notes

  • Use sugar-free chocolate chips and maple syrup to keep the fudge diabetic-friendly and low in sugar.
  • Ensure coconut oil is melted but not hot to maintain the correct consistency in the mixture.
  • Line the container with baking paper to make removal of the fudge easier and cleaner.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the freezer to maintain its firmness and freshness.
  • For a nuttier flavor, slightly toast the tahini before mixing, but let it cool completely.
