Ingredients
Produce
- 2 small beets
- ¼ baby watermelon (approximately 2 cups of watermelon flesh)
- 1 ½ cups mixed berries (strawberries, red currants, raspberries)
- ½ cup pitted cherries
Instructions
- Prep the produce: Begin by cutting the watermelon and removing the rind if you prefer (rinse well if you decide to keep the rind as it is edible). Wash the beets, mixed berries, and cherries thoroughly. Optionally, trim the ends of the beets if desired. Remove stems and pits from the cherries carefully since the pits are toxic and can damage the juicer.
- Juice the ingredients: Feed all prepared ingredients into your juicer. If using a different juicer model, cut watermelon and beets into smaller pieces to ensure smooth juicing. Extract the juice until all produce is processed.
- Serve & enjoy: Pour the freshly made juice into glasses or jars. Add ice cubes for extra refreshment or refrigerate the produce before juicing for a chilled drink. This recipe yields about 750mL (3 cups), suitable for 3 small servings or 2 larger ones.
Notes
- Ensure to remove cherry pits to avoid toxicity and prevent damage to the juicer.
- The watermelon rind is edible if washed well, but it can affect the juice’s texture and flavor.
- This juice is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
- Using a cold press juicer like the Nama J2 helps retain nutrients and flavor.
- Feel free to customize the berry mix based on seasonal availability or preference.
